She is widely known for her punk scene coverage, her pioneering television work, and for founding the LA Punk Museum, a pop-up, immersive art experience dedicated to punk history. She is distinct from the popular cocktail book of the same name.

Weekly, and has continued to contribute to independent and local media ever since. Her writing focuses on music, art, and cultural figures, with bylines including The Hollywood TimesRock City NewsLost AnarchyLA BeatBuzz BinPasadena Weekly, and more.

She also hosts her long-running cable access show Tequila TV, which has aired for over 25 years. In addition to her media work, she is a singer-songwriter, actress, and musician, having performed in bands such as Trouble for Nora alongside Mitch Mitchell of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Founder, LA Punk Museum

Free Press & Cultural Legacy

Deeply rooted in independent media, Tequila Mockingbird represents the spirit of the Free Press—using art, journalism, and television to amplify underground voices.
